Peninsular Malaysia (point to point): Taiping - Maxwell Hill - Kuala Gula - Langkawi
This tour are for the birders that have a shorter time for their holiday so we have tried to include a diverse range of habitats within a short distance from each other.
Brief Itinerary: 6 days and 5 nights

Day 1
Pick up at Penang International Airport and travel to Taping and check into our hotel after some needed rest we do some early evening birding around the hotel grounds and surrounding areas. Potential Bird: Pink-necked Pegeon, Scarlet-backed Flowerpecker, Lineated Barbet, Black-caped Kingfisher, Chestnut-brested Malkoha, Oriental Pied Magpie, Red-eye Bulbul, Hill Myna,Gerygone, White-throated Kingfisher, Green Iora, Common Myna, White-brested Waterhen.
Day 2
We have an early start to the base of Maxwell Hill to take the first shuttle to the top of the hill. We spend the day birding while breaking for lunch and rest before we continue with some evening birding and night owling. We spend the night at Maxwell Hill.Potential Birds: Black-crested Bulbul, Streaked Spyderhunter, Blue-winged Minla, Mountain Tailorbird, Black-throated sunbird, Yellow-brested Flowerpecker,Mountain Fluvetta, Oriental White-eye, Fire-brested flowerpecker, Black-browed Barbet, Lesser Racquet-tailed drongo, White-throated Fantail, Streaked Wren Babbler, Pygmy Wren babbler, Sultan Tit, long-tailed Broadbill, Blyth Hawk Eagle, Mountain Bulbul, Orange_bellied Leafbird and others.
Day 3
After some breakfast we continue our birding and by midday we journey to the base of Maxwell hill. After lunch and some needed rest we will head to Kampong Cheah for more birds. Overnight in Taiping.Potential Birds: raffles Malkoha, Golden Wisked Barbet, Buff-rumped Woodpecker, Black Tigh Falconet, Red-throated Barbet, Coppersmith Barbet, Forest Warbler, Indigo Cuckoo, White-rumped Sharma, Buff-rumped Woodpecker, Thick-billed Spiderhunter and many others.
Day 4
After an early breakfast we check out of hotel and travel to Kuala Gula for the shore birds and stop for lunch, after lunch we travel to Penang and catch the flight to Langkawi. On arrival we check into our hotel. Overnight in Langkawi. Potential Birds: Stork-billed Kingfisher, White-throated Kingfisher, Milky Stork, Jungle Myna, Red Shank, Green Shanks, Marsh Sandpiper, Mongolian Sandpiper, Wimbrell, Purple Heron, Terek Sandpiper. Blue-tailed Bee-eater, Pied Fantail, Common Sandpiper, Ashy Tailorbird, Black-naped Oriole, Common Iora, Great Tit, Yellow-browed Wabler, Sunda Pygmy woodpecker, Purple-rumped Sunbird, Great Egret, Lillte Egret and others.
Day 5
In the morning we head to Kg. Kisap for scrubland birds at midday we travel the various mud flats and paddies for the shore and wetland specialties. At the end of day we travel up Gunung Raya for the Wreathed and Great hornbills. Overnight in Langkawi. Potential Birds: Lesser Whistling Duck, Black-hooded Oriole, Red-wattled Lapwing, Brown-winged Kingfisher, Orange Brested Pegeon, Common Flame-backed Woodpecker, Ashy Drongo, Plain-backed Sparrow, chinese Pond Heron Javan Pond Heron, Brown Shrike, Oriental Prantincole, Purple Swamphen, Rudy-brested Crake, White-browed crake, Cinamon Bittern, yellow Vented Bulbul, Asian Brown Flycatcher, Cattle Egret, Great Hornbill, Wreathed Hornbill and many others.
Day 6
We spend the morning birding for rainforest birds and those target species that we did not get the day before. Evening departure. Orange-bellied Flowerpecker, Scarlet-backed Flowepecker, great Slaty woodpecker, Greater flame-backed Woodpecker, Asian Fairy Bluebird, Oriental Broadbill Roller, Blue Wistling Thrush, Hill Myna, Large Green Pegeon, Thick-billed Pegeon, racquet-tailed Drongo, Crested Serpent Eagle, White Bellied sea Eagle, Bhraminy Kite, Abborts Babbler, striped Tit Babbler, Jerdons Baza, Chestnu-headed Bee-eater, Blue-throated Bee-eater, Oriental Pied Hornbill, Brown-backed Needle-tailed swift, Black Nest Swiftlet, pacific Swallow, Crimson Sunbird, Ruby-cheeked Sunbird, Ocrachous Bulbul and many others.
